Driving License Scam: What to do

0 0

A reader messaged this morning on how to manage a driving license scam which she faced. She paid some money to guy who promised that he will give her driving license. However he scammed her by not giving the license. She is asking how to deal with this driving license scam.

The driving license scam

Question: I am seeking advise from finance clock.. please suggest…🙏🙏Hello all! Please advise me.. A guy took Rs 4000 from me to teach driving and license and after that he started ignoring telephonic conversation. I paid on March 23. I live in Bangalore and I am from North side and this guy is a local guy from Bangalore. He has taught many ladies in my society so I had trust over him and waited for a month as he might ne in trouble but no response from his side. I have his photo and gpay screenshot as a proof.

I understand that amount is too small for many of you but spending my hard earned money on drinking is not worth. Now his acquaintance is delivering milk in our society. He said, he spent all my money on drinking and he has taken Rs 6000 from him too for the same. But both of them are in touch and he said I don’t want money.

It is a small amount and is not ready to assist me in this police issues. Last night, this milkman came to my flat and started saying don’t involve me in this police issues for 4k bucks. Many suggesting including mg husband that it’s a small amount police won’t help and since that both of the guys are from this place only he might harm me as I go outside alone with my kid alone for school and all.

I have made a draft to mail commissioner as a complaint, suggested by someone but my close people are saying that he might harm us as he is from this area and we three are living here alone. I want to know what danger is lying here and he might cheat others too for the same and none will come out by saying small amount small amount. I want to know if I go for this complaint, how tedious it will be..

Answer on How to Deal with Scam

I will advice to forget and move on and treat this as a learning. Not because they can harm you but because there are other problems in life worth your time. I do not think police would take action for this amount! In any transaction with a stranger, advance payment is always kept minimal.

If you need to take any action, just write a complaint on a white paper with your number, his number, and attach the screenshot of the payment. Then go to a nearby police station and submit it there. The police will call both parties and possibly reach a compromise because its a short amount. If he denies the accusation, you can ask police to file fir and go to court.
