Find how many mobile numbers are linked to his/her Aadhaar ID

Question: Today I saw a notification in MyJio app which wasn’t there till yesterday that there’s a new a/c to link for me. I found that the 7 series number that popped up in the app isn’t mine & called Jio Customer care, and they informed me that it’s linked to my Aadhaar card since 2016. I even spoke to the guy whose using it. He lives in Madhya Pradesh & claimed to have taken the number under his Aadhaar and using since 6 years. Year 2022 (-) 6 years = 2016 and it is matching with what JIO says about SIM’s active duration.

However, I’ve been with Jio Prepaid on my OG number (9 series) since April 2018. I never took that other 7 series number, at least I don’t remember taking it. Up until today it never popped in my “MyJio” app. For now, I’ve laid a temporary suspension on that 7 series number, and I’m waiting for JIO’s 24 hours SLA for a permanent suspension. Their network team will do that after a call with me and understanding the issue at hand.Meanwhile,

1) Please let me know if there’s a way one can find how many mobile numbers are linked to his/her Aadhaar or any other govt ID proof across all networks. I’ve so far used 4 major networks: Airtel, Vodafone, Docomo, Jio in their prepaid/postpaid segments on my OG number which has been with me since 15 years. It’s the only number I’ve used or I intend to use.

2) Is there any way I can get a testament (or) valid legal doc from either law enforcement or TRAI or Jio that the activity that happened on that 7 series is unrelated to me and that there’s been a violation with ID linking at JIO’s end? I wish to safeguard myself from any activity whatsoever that happened with that 7 series number and hence trying to see if such a way exists.

You can call jio care or visit to nearest jio centre along with Aadhar and ask to terminate the service for all the numbers which you aren’t using. You can contact Jio customer care. However usually Jio customer care say that since a ticket is raised now, one has to wait for the call back and further enquiry before they do this. All such stores open at 12 pm. You can also go to jio office and reclaimed that mobile number instead of terminating.

You can mail them (for written proof) to cancel the SIM with immediate effect and only Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd will be liable for any misuse of the same. Some customers had negative experience as they won’t take any action and they will temporary suspend the number and tell sir everything is fine. Later if the criminal has your Aadhar card still he can call customer care pretending to be you and unblock the sim card. The reason why this loophole happening in jio is because jio doesn’t have option to totally terminate the connection. Only solution is you take new sim card saying my sim is lost so the criminal’s old sim will not be working There are numerous of times this case happened. If nothing works, and you can try this.
